BAYOU ESTATES SUBDIVISION POST-GREAT FLOOD
Yes, Bayou Estate flooded during the Great Flood of August 12-16, 2016. Recovery has been taking place and only time will tell how buyers react to future Bayou Estates home prices. Since 09/01/2016, there’s been six GBRMLS sales from $47,450, $70,000, $90,000, $93,000 to $95,000. From an appraisal I completed in Bayou Estates in December 2016 of a renovated home, I know the cost to repair and renovate is at least $50,000.
